The Fastest-Growing Influencers of 2025

Influencers have become an indispensable force in today’s marketing landscape. For campaign planning, creators are segmented based on their follower counts. These segments are classified as follows:

  • Nano: 1K – 10K followers
  • Micro: 10K – 50K followers
  • Mid: 50K – 250K followers
  • Macro: 250K – 1M followers
  • Mega/Celeb: 1M+ followers

Follower count is only one of many metrics considered in influencer selection. However, understanding which segment dominates on which platform carries strategic importance for campaign planning. According to the Hyperiser 2025 Annual Report, the Instagram landscape reveals the following:

“Influencer distribution on Instagram is primarily concentrated in the Micro (34%) and Mid (38%) segments. These two groups stand out as the most preferred segments for brands, offering balanced reach and engagement performance potential.”

On TikTok, the importance of Nano and Micro influencers is particularly emphasized:

“According to the Hyperiser Universe, Nano, Micro, and Mid segments show a balanced distribution on TikTok. Notably, the Nano influencer segment stands out prominently on the platform. As follower count increases, average view performance declines proportionally. This reflects the platform algorithm’s focus on content performance and early audience engagement signals rather than follower size alone.
Micro influencers emerge as the most balanced and powerful segment in terms of engagement rate and view efficiency relative to follower count.”

A similar pattern appears on YouTube: Nano influencers hold the highest share, while Micro and Mid segments form a balanced secondary group. Each segment has its own distinctive strengths; therefore, positioning different segments strategically according to campaign KPIs creates significant value.
